Essential Job Functions:
- Read blueprints and Job Routings to determine part specifications and order requirements.
- Use gauges and other measuring instruments to make sure parts conform to specifications.
- Install collets, pushers, gears, cams, tool holders and any other tooling required to machine part per print specifications.
- Set all tooling as required.
- Verify conformance of first piece production, making sure all dimensions are in conformance with print specifications using proper measuring instruments.
- Tear down set-ups after job is complete.
- Sharpen/replace old tooling if required.
- Inspect parts to make sure they fit print requirements.
- Clean machine and work area daily. Keep area orderly. Floor around machine must be kept free of oil.
- Instruct/help co-workers.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures. Report any unsafe condition/action to a supervisor.
- Learn and practice preventative maintenance on machinery and tooling to protect from damage and loss. Report any condition requiring repair to the department supervisor.

- Participate in relevant continuing education programs as identified or proposed by executive management.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience
- At least an 8th grade education.
- Previous experience or on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of screw machine operations and metal properties.
- Communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Mathematical skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to use and read various measuring devices.
- Reasoning skills:
- Ability to define and solve problems.
We are seeking an Centerless Grinders Setup/Operator to join our team!
Kerr Lakeside Inc, a manufacturer of Fasteners and Dowel Pins has an open position available for a Setup/Operator with a minimum of 2 years setup experience in a job shop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust and operate Cincinnati Centerless Grinders to hold close tolerances and finish requirements
- Install and Set wheels, work blades and diamond dressers.
- Perform and record quality checks to ensure part conformance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Run Quality Product within required efficiency requirements.
- Keep work are clean and orderly
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years setup experience on setting up centerless grinders.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Team Player
- Must be able to read/understand Manufacturing Drawings and Layouts
- Assist with machine maintenance
- Ability to handle physical workload

Responsibilities:
- Perform Daily Preventative Maintenance - Oiling, Cleaning and Adjustments.
- Troubleshoot Electrical and Mechanical Failures
- Must be proficient in reading Electrical Schematics and Blueprints
- Dismantle defective equipment and replace with new components
- Troubleshoot and resolve down machine issues in a timely fashion
- Provide innovative solutions to improve productivity and maintain equipment
- Maintain safe working environment.
- Must follow all safety procedures
- Must be able to weld/braze and fabricate machine parts.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read shop prints
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle physical workload - Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance repair required
- Experience with repairing National Boltmakers and Formax machines a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Print and send invoices to customers daily.
- Coordinate sales orders with invoices.
- File completed orders.
- Answer incoming calls.
- Data entry of customer purchase orders.
- Create Package Stock Replenishment (PSR) for Special Customers
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, complaints, etc.
- Works with sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Receives and participates in the resolution of customer complaints.
- Coordinates timely shipment of orders by interacting with the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Coordinates returning of goods and corrective action.
- Call Kerr Lakeside customers for payment when credit limits have exceeded their established credit limit or are in excess of 30 days.
- Age receivables daily in PLEX.
- Run Balance of Overdue Accounts Report - KERR
- Advise Sales Manager of adjustments that have to be made to a customer's account.
- Record daily phone log of collection calls in PLEX.
- Apply adjustments in PLEX (debit/credit memos and account balances) when necessary. Run adjustment report.
- Take phone calls from customers who may need an invoice, delivery receipt, etc. emailed to them. Answer any questions – Daily.
- Communicate with Sales Manager and Plant Manager as to customer's account status - why they are on hold, place them on hold, remove the hold, etc.
- Communicate with the Shipping Department regarding customers on credit hold.
- Follow up on problem accounts.
Periodic Responsibilities:
- Undertakes special assignments as required to assure satisfactory order handling.
- File Screw Machine and Cold Headed Specials quotes in Main Building
